“EL SIRULO” | Martín Vejarano & MAGIA GAITERA | Live in Cartagena, Colombia

Driven by the rich sound of traditional gaita flutes and the deep, rhythmic pulse of Afro-Colombian tambor drums, “El Sirulo” reflects the energy and spirit of Colombia’s Caribbean coast. Recorded live in Cartagena, the performance brings together a group of master musicians led by Martín Vejarano, creating a vibrant and immersive musical moment. “EL SIRULO” is part of Magia GAITERA’s first album “EL CAZADOR”, which explores the connection between traditional gaita larga instrumentation and rhythms from diverse musical traditions such as Mapalé, Fandango and Tambora. The piece explores new rhythmic territory while honoring Gaita music’s cultural legacy and its campesino roots. Artists: Juan M.
