Fandango de Río - Martín Vejarano & Magia Gaitera (Live in Cartagena)

"Fandango de Río" is finally here! 🎶 Experience the fourth and final chapter of our live recording session with Martín Vejarano & Magia Gaitera, captured right in the vibrant heart of Cartagena. With this track, Martín highlights what he calls the "ghost rhythm" of Gaita music—the Fandango. It is a rhythm rarely played or composed by traditional Gaita bands, delivering real energy and a rare groove that makes it impossible to sit still. "The fandango is the 'ghost rhythm' of gaita music; it is rarely played and rarely composed. For me, writing and playing fandangos is incredibly fun because it opens up a universe of possibilities for the gaitas and drums format, allowing us to expand our rhythmic and melodic vocabulary, and taking the interplay of the flutes, percussion, and vocals to another level." — Martín Vejarano
