Korton Garimou | Groupe Chipkaou

A social story about a man known for pursuing married women and young girls, presented as a critique of his behavior. Groupe Chipkaou is a traditional Nigerien music group dedicated to preserving and promoting Hausa culture and language. Founded and led by Chipkaou, the duo features Chipkaou on vocals and the traditional two string Komsa, an instrument he makes himself, accompanied by a second musician on the Kalangou percussion instrument. Their music draws from everyday life, community stories, social realities, and traditional celebrations. After more than three decades of musical practice, Groupe Chipkaou brings an authentic expression of Hausa musical heritage to wider audiences.
